Wyoming and Nebraska Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/08/2019

Receipts: 1,305     Week Ago: 1,934    Year Ago: 494

   Compared to last steers and heifers sold steady.  Demand was good 
for the short supply of yearlings with most coming off of short, frozen 
and dried up summer grass. Nebraska feedlots traded some dressed sales on 
Thursday 1.00 to 2.00 higher than last week from 181.00-182.00. Live 
sales have been slow to develop across the region. Direct prices 
are current FOB with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent, with a 10-12 
cent slide on calves and 8 cent slide on feeders from base weight. 
Delivered prices include freight, commissions and other expenses. Current 
sales are up to 14 days delivery. Supply included near 28 percent heifers 
with 100 percent of the run over 600 lbs.
